About Holiday Bible Club (HBC)

What is Holiday Bible Club?

Holiday Bible Club is a Christian activity for children that has been provided annually, by the churches of the town for over 35 years. It first met in 1990 and quickly became a highly respected childrens activity within the town.

Who is the club for?

It is for children aged between 5 and 12 years.

When does the club run?

Holiday Bible Club takes place on 5 mornings during one week of the summer school holidays in August.

When does the club next meet?

The dates for the next club are: 11^th – 15^th August 2025
and bookings open in the proceeding June.

What does the club provide?

It provides the children with age appropriate Crafts, Bible Stories, Drama, Singing, Games and above all – lots of fun!

The club is based around a different exciting theme each year and in previous years it has taken us exploring in the Jungle, riding the Rocky Rapids, or even up into space and time travelling.

The week of fun is rounded off with a barbecue for the children and their families on the Friday evening.

Who is the club run by?

All four churches of Olney (see below) come together as The Combined Churches of Olney to organise this event for the children of Olney and surrounding area.

It is run by a large team of volunteers drawn from the churches and elsewhere.

What does it to cost to attend the club?

The club does not charge any fees and all expenses are covered by the four churches, together with any commercial sponsorship obtained, and donations received.
